The wife and I want to get certified. Know of a reasonable place? We'll join you for a Catalina trip if we can get certified.

There are a few place here near base that do classes. We have a base scuba shop and they are super reasonable, not sure if he still has his shop in Oceanside or not-- I'll check and let you know when I get back to Pendleton.

I dive took a long break then started up again a few months ago. We do alot more free diving and spearfishing in the harbor and down in SD harbor but are going to start hitting the kelp beds
soo.
I need to get some short dives in soon to shake off any discomfort lol....certified and used to do a fair amount but been awhile till recently...

I'm down to dive.

Got another buddy on here in redo do area that dives as well used to race dh bikes with him, mostly free diving but has some good spots.
I prefer scuba but if you havent free dived we need to take you, nothing like being silent and going for game e fish with a spear gun..it mixes it up.

I used to Dive weekly, never had a problem finding a dive buddy with this group.
This is the second largest dive club in so-cal. There are no dues and they dive almost every day.
They frequently get dive boat specials and every so often dive the oil rigs off the coast.

I couldn't recommend these guys more.

I'm down, I'm making sure with my naval doc is ok with it today. I need to do some shallow dives to check my gear and I'll be ready to go.
