Default Thunderstorms in socal!

Good news, the weather service just announced severe thunderstorms in and around LA county, which means lots of rain! Which also means lots of mud!! It looks like among other places trabuco creek may have gotten a bit of rain as well as any places around LA lake( its what they announced on the radio, predicting 1/4 in hail and heavy winds. If you live close to any trails that have been hit by heavy rain and are thus extra muddy could you post up what trail and where it is? I was thinking of checking trabuco creek/holy Jim for mud on Friday unless anybody else is closer?

There is also a good chance it will dry up by the weekend so lets hope the storms continue! (of course as long as nobody gets hurt/house wrecked)

I have to lol at this post... Only in Cali would it be necessary to post a "the rain is comming" thread in an effort to start a scavenger hunt for mud.

Enjoy your quest!

Any way the only place I could think of here is Azusa Canyon? sometimes there is mud there but they are only open on the weekends.

Well it's been around 90* every day for the last month or more so just hearing that there is rain is exciting, after all technically we live in a desert, its only because we pump a ton of water here that it looks green

That's real mud ! That stuff doesn't come off for years no matter how much you wash it.

I was out late last night , topless in Costa Mesa watching the sky to the south lighting up every couple seconds, magnificent. I'm not too hopeful about rain though.
