Default Trabuco Creek Road

Hi, I have a question about Trabuco Creek Road. I was there on Sat. for the first time and went up the road till I hit a sign that said you are entering a fee area, and that is where I stopped. My question is: where and how much is the fee ? Do they give you a pass, is that pass good at other places ? Sorry about all the questions, I'm new to 4x4.

Thanks
Rob

Welcome to the forum!

My assumption is that you were approaching an area where you need a Forest Adventure Pass. They are $5/day and $30/year and can be purchased online, or locally at many sporting goods stores and mini-marts. There is a list of vendors available on the Forest website here:

That is exactly what you came across, I was also up there on Saturday maybe we crossed paths. I usually am fartin around there at least once a week. Never have I needed a pass, even when the ranger waves his hand. The weekends are packed with hikers, bikers, and other folk. Weekdays rock cuz it's you and five others if you are lucky. Give me a holler next time maybe we can go for a crawl in the creek.....
