Traction Controle problem
Went out wheelin today at Corral Canyon, when I was leaving I noticed my steering wheel was off about a quarter turn. Not sure what happened to cause that,
and my traction control comes on when I go around a left curve even if I turn it off at the switch.
Went home and centered the steering wheel hoping to fix the problem and it still comes on and only going around left curves.
Anyone ever have this happen to them????

Haha, boy do I ever lol. Usually find my steering is off after I am particularly rough on my jeep, and as far as I can tell that, and the ESP problem your having is completely normal. Unfortunately the ESP system in our rigs is complete and utter garbage. Unless your absolutely 100% perfect with your adjustment.. It's going to keep doing that.. Or until you adjust it to the opposite side, and then your problem is only going to flip sides. Or unless you install a true-blue ESP Kill Switch. Because that button Jeep put on it does NOT turn anything off.. It merely tones it down a little bit.. But it still reacts just as horrible and dangerous as ever.
Same thing happened to me after a run at Coral Canyon back in July and awhile ago after a Cleghorn run. I had to go to the stealership each time and have them do an alignment and they do some kind of electrical reset on the ESC sytem....or so they say.
My syptoms were no ESP (fault indicator on), no cruise control and wheel was 1/4 turn off center (to the right). I didn't have the issue with ESP kicking in on turns since it was faulted out.
Cost me $90 each time.

I have had the same issue a couple of times. Once after I lifted my rig and again after wheeling it several months later. There is a steering position sensor which can tell when your steering wheel is a certain degree or more off-center. A simple tie rod adjustment will correct it without having to take it to a shop. Just loosen the the tension nut toward the middle of the tie rod and give it a couple of turns until the steering wheel is centered. I haven't had to do anything else and the toe-in always comes back within spec. No computer reset is necessary. The ESP should notice the correct wheel position immediately.

Ok, I fixed it in my driveway. I just centered the steering wheel buy turning the adjustment on the drag link, while using my AVE programmer which tells me when the steering wheel is dead center. That programmer was the best money spent so far.
