Default Trail closures

What's up with all the so cal trail closures? I went to rattlesnake canyon last weekend and saw the heartbrake ridge, the creek area near 2N02, and the trail that goes behind sugarloaf summit, all blocked with fresh boulders! These were great trails now closed. I wonder what the price of homes in Colorado are like these days? So cal isn't what it used to be.

have you tried contacting the san bernardino national forest office? i'm sure they'd be able to tell you better than anyone speculating here.

That's what I'm doing this week. Maybe if all of us bought forest adventure passes they'd reopen them? Ha ha ha!

Might try this site, I was a member when I lived out there and they try to lobby for the 4weelers rights.

cal4wheel.com/

I removed the www at the front to make it not linkable. I would recommend them for anyone who lives out there, they put on all kinds of nice runs that are well supported by vendors with great prizes and they have great activities for the whole family. I used to go to the high dessert roundup every year. There are links on there for local clubs as well.

Thanks for the info! Everything helps. I'll check it out. I'll post what the forest service relays to me after I go to them.

Here in nor cal they closed parts of the rim trail for wet weather (yea right) with boulders. Removed when weather was better ( called local club who called cal4wheel). Gotta stay on us forest and blm land or they just close and leave it. Lost dogtown this year to blm. Land no one else uses except 4x4 ,ohv, and hunters. There excuse. Can't maintain. This was some rough trail and no one wanted it maintained! Much more gets closed and I'll be movin!

Boxer is trying to push a land bill thru right now and has notified us that she has another one to be submitted after this one is done. What’s new? That’s all she does year after year. I predict that she will propose six more by the time she is up for election again. CAL4wheel fights her on everything.
