Default Want do to lift jeep, but somewhat afraid of death wobble!

Hello everyone just got my Jeep 3 days ago and I am IN LOVE with her! Looking forward to getting started on some mods, however I am concerned with the death wobble. My husband's (Miramontes )Jeep has done this a few times and is now fixed. My question is do all or most Jeep's experience the death wobble once lifted? I look forward to meeting everyone and to seeing the fellow Jeepers I have already met!

I lifted mine 6K miles ago and have never experienced death wobble. I have a TF 2.5" Coil Lift with 35's. The steering can be 'squirrely' at times meaning that the Jeep tends to steer in the direction of a dip in the road. I have ordered adjustable lower control arms and track bar bracket which will center the axle and adjust the pinion to the correct angle.

Good luck!!

I went with the AEV 3.5" SC to preserve the handling on the street. 5k miles so far including some Colorado trails and Texas freeways, no hint of DW at all so far.

Good luck with your lift!

Death wobble has nothing to do with a lift. Stock jeeps get it too.

Thanks, and I am sure your wife will love it! I was not sure because this is my family vehicle toting around the teens and tween! But I love waking up to it and driving it around town. I don't think I will ever get tired of looking at it! Ya guess I'm in love alright!

The death wobble has only happened on the freeway over pass seam. It's at 45. And I had just done John Bull. I re-torqued the front end and has not happened since then. Which reminds me I need to re-torque once again after doing Holcomb Creek. Just have not had the time to do it.
