Default Wheels/Tires Question

I am looking to buy ProComp 7089 17x9 black wheels for my 4-door JK. Anyone know of any good places offering deals right now? Maybe a wheel and tire package or just the wheels? Thx!

4WheelParts seems to always offer tire/ wheel combos... and if you are looking for Pro-comp products they are the place to go. Also, check out the sponsor areas and see what Discount Tire can do for you if you don't mind the shipping.

Discounttiredirect.com is a sponsor and they ship for free. Mounted and balanced. They offer a $50 discount to forum members and will price match internet offers.

Hopefully the backorder situation has been relieved. I ordered that wheel from 4 Wheel Parts in November and finally canceled it in January after they still had no ETA for me. Ended up going with Cragar Soft 8's instead. In any case, 4WD Hardware and 4 Wheel Parts seem to have consistently good pricing. Check both. If you order from 4WD Hardware you can pick up at a 4 Wheel Parts store.

I checked around and finally went to place my order at 4 Wheel Parts...and they are out of stock. The guy said looks like they won't have a new order in until May. I am so sad! And impatient...so...

Where do you get the Crager's soft 8? And how much should I expect to spend with those?

I did not the the Craigslist posting...I have been searching for months.

Tons of places can get them and they are super cheap less than $100 a wheel. try summitracing.com or go to your local tire store.

Did you try anywhere else for the 7089's ? just because they don't have them at 4 wheel parts doesn't mean someone else doesn't have them. If they are the wheel you really want I would search for a while.

I have been looking for a few months but wanted a local store to pick them up at to avoid shipping. They have the best costs right now I have seen. Figures they are out of stock right now...

I may just end up ordering online and taking them either to Outlaw or 4 Wheels Parts for install.

But the Cragars are looking like a great option too right now.

The backorder situation with Pro Comp is nationwide, as far as I understood it in January.

Summit Racing probably has the best price on the Soft 8's, but I wanted a wheel and tire package, and ended up buying at Performance Plus, right there in Long Beach. They gave me a better out-the-door price than anyone else, including mail order options (the wheels were more than Summit but the tires were significantly less than some other shops quoted, and Summit doesn't sell the tires).

To top it off Performance Plus did not charge me anything to move the TPMS sensors from the old to the new; remounted the old tires/wheels at no cost; didn't charge me for the valve stems; and included hub covers in their price. Check them out.

One caution on the Soft 8's. I went with 16x8 with 5" backspace. Regardless of what you may see posted here, I ran into a slight rubbing issue with the front calipers. I had to do a very small amount of grinding on the outside edge of the calipers and was good to go.

Hope this helps.
