i had fun today, and i hope everyone else did as well. we should go to cleghorn. in fact the drive from wildomar to my house is only 15min less than that of the drive to cleghorn totally not worth it for the small area of wildomar vs cleghorn

Good times today!
Thanks to everyone that was out with JK77's group, glad you were all still up at Wildomar when Rangleme and I decided to head out that way. 3.9 thanks for showing us some of the trails there. I will post miy pics later on tonight or tommorow since the wife wants to go see movie and get some dinner.

Sneak preview....

The last of the group checking out the sunset glowing off the Pacific Ocean.

I have a Rubi but ALWAYS use my Teraflex quick discos. This time I just clicked the electronic disconnect (once like in the last year that I decided to use it). So after the climb my disconects weren't reconnecting!!!!! .... It turns out that it got stuck in the lowest position and bent my quick disconnect!!!!! .... I'm NEVER using the electronic disconnect again....

THAN I decided to try some light mud.... it was more like dirty water....

I have a cut off switch for my fan but forgot to use it.... recently I've been forgetting to use it with these small puddles her in CA.

Anyways... so I hit the water/mud and then in a little while start to overheat. I know I couldn't of clogged my radiator since this was water. I check my fan out and it's not working!!!.....

So now the group is meeting up at 74/main divide rd. What to do?????

I cool down and hit the pavement, and I'm totally overheating. I go to the gas station and use their water to clean out the fan (hoping it will help)... pack the radiator with some ice, and top off the anti-freeze. And like magic the fan starts working again. I thought it was a miracle. So I switch my navigation from home to 74/main divide... .... I'm driving and no overheating problems at all. Than I hit the steep hills on 74 and start to overheat. Look under the hood and the damn fan ain't working again... .... Got some more ice, some water, but no anti-freeze to be found... oh and I'm running almost empty on the anti-freeze. So I start taking apart my whole fan hoping to fix it somehow (since I'm soooo close to the trails!). No luck.... Just got home and the fan ain't working.

Now I'm ordering a new fan.... that was a fun day!!
dude don't order a fan just yet... if the system is closed or the fan only comes on at a certain temp and the radiator has air in it the fan sensor will never get hot enough to come on...
make sure you're fully topped off and cycle air out before buying a fan.
It was great meeting you all out there today. I'm bad with names but I'll remember your rigs.
Scott you were saying it wasn't worth the drive down there but I disagree, there were some decent challenges for my stocker w/street tires and the company was great. I look forward to the next run!

Right on, glad you enjoyed yourself. You would have really loved the ride to the top of Main Divide. I don't live to far from the North side entrance, and now that I know there is a sign posted on the weekends at the entrance to the canyon, I will check it and we will do this again. However it looks like Cleghorn will be the next run.

Hmm...I'll consider it. Try as I might, I don't think I could get stuck at Cleghorn...but maybe I'll stay aired up to make it more of a challenge!
