Who do you all use?
I don't know the area but I would purchase the kits and wheels online and then do as much of the work as you can on your own or find a good shop to do the installs. I recommend northridge4x4.com, jeeperzcreeperz.com, 4wheelparts.com. They all have reasonable prices on their lifts. Good luck!
If you are not mechanically inclined, there are is a local guy, Jim Cox of JC Fab & Design who has done a lot of the harder work on my Jeep. PM me if you'd like his contact info.

I agree with the others who recommended buying the lift components and wheels directly from the manufacturer. With regard to lift, I can recommend Full Traction - they are just over the hill in Bakersfield. Chris at FT is on this forum and he may even let you test drive his rig...
