AL/FL state line area??
I live near Dothan/Enterprise, AL, not too far from you guys in the Panhandle. I just bought my JK 8/24/07 & I & still haven't taken it off the pavement. I was impatient & took what they had on the lot...a 4x2...I know, I know...but, after reading these forums, I see that I'm not the only one w/ the 2wd & I'm dying to get my JK dirty. I'd be willing to ride to P'cola or Panama City, Destin, or where ever I need to go to ride. Let me know.
What up Tidegrad, Congrats on the recent purchase. Your Sahara looks good. Nice grill and fog light mod.
You are close to us down here in the panhandle. There are about 7 or 8 of us down here from this forum, we got together the last month and ran down towards Navare on Navare Bch. Rd. it was a blast. You can chime in on the other thread on the florida thread/ Pensacola.

Are you guys getting together again anytime soon? I'd love to jump in on the trip. The Navarre pics are cool & looks a good time!

Yeah, there is another trail near navare a few miles south of I-10 and hwy 87 one of the guys has been on a few times says its pretty fun. and we all need to get together possibly in a few weeks to make a trail run. looks like you found the panhandle thread. just keep an eye on the posts and Brian1222 is the one who has been down the trail he is usually eager to go so put a post on there and maybe we can line something up. I'm up in Bham right now about to go see a buddy in Ga. and hit a OHV park. should be fun. / How much did Q-tech charge for the grill fillers on your jeep? I need to do that but was going to see what Lowes or HD had so I could make my own.

$300, but I bought them before I found this site. I thought it was a "cheap" purchase at the time. I like it better than the vertical billet inserts, which are a ton cheaper.
However, in reading this forum & looking at gallery pics, a lot of people have made their own out of very cheap materials. I've even seen someone using plastic rain gutter mesh as an insert. While I certainly could've found a cheaper way to do it, I don't reget buying it (it's actually 1 piece of metal shaped to curve into the holes in the grille). They are SUPER strong & do not flex at all. It will definitely keep the rocks & debris out of my condensor. Only problem I ran into when mounting them was that I must have tightened it down too much & when I flipped over the grille, it was cutting into it. I had to go back & loosen the insert, then take a hair dryer and heat up the grille itself in order for it to shrink back to it's original shape. Fortunately, it worked w/out damaging the paint on the grille.

It's not that far to drive to Navarre. can you give me some directions to the Navarre Beach trail that's in your picks or any other trails on the beach? I'd be coming onto I-10 at the Bonifay exit & heading West on I-10 towards P'cola. Then what?
TideGrad, Saw some of your pics from the clay pit and the mud, LOOKS LIKE IT WAS A BLAST Looks like your fearless in that JK unless you knew how deep the water was! Anyhow Great Pics. To make a long story short the pics of us on Navare Bch was as fun as it looks. Unfortunatly after that ,we went to Ft. Pickens (which is a federal Park)where the road is also closed due to Hur. Damage, But we ran into the Park Ranger who ended up giving us $160 tickets for driving on a closed road and driving past a road closed sign. Not sure if the same laws would apply for Navare Bch since it is not Federal but we all are pretty leary of going out to Navare Bch now.
Brian1222 just posted on the other thread about going out to 87 (which is legal )but you need to get a pass, I think its $10 for the year He was saying Friday at noon hears the thread if you want to chime in. Here is the thread, https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...t=14615&page=6
