Default April Fools Spring Skyline Ride 4/3/2010

Hey guys a few of us guys from Birmingham are going to head up to Skyline the Saturday of April Fools weekend. We would love to have anyone from the great southern states come and joy us as we crusade through the north Alabama Appalachian foothills. There are trails for just about any skill level although we will probably hit most trails in the 2-3 range out of 5 (this according to the JK Rubi scale of difficulty).

And by the way this is not a joke event though it's April Fools. You want be the only person at the trailhead.

When: Saturday April 3rd at 9 am

Where: Skyline WMA in Jackson County Alabama North of Scottsboro, AL about 25 minutes up 79.

Meeting Place: Thackerson's Gas Station (off the left side of the road where 146 meets 79 in between Skyline, AL and Hytop, AL)

Skyline WMA map and registery sheet: (You need this to be in the WMA)
http://outdooralabama.com/hunting/wi...Map%202010.pdf

Hotels: Scottsboro has loads of places to stay if you are coming in from out of state.

Things you may want to bring:
-Recovery gear (if you have it bring it, if you don't you should probably invest in some)
-Flash lights
-Warm clothes (it is up in the mountains and can get pretty chilly)
-Lunch and any snacks that you may want through out the day
-Any beverages that you may wnat through out the day

Confirmed:

Bama JKX - Chris (B'ham)
jeepn7658 - Justin (B'ham)

Maybe:

miklnbham - (B'ham)
JasonS8959 - (Huntsville)
racinfast002 - Justin (Huntsville)

Going but probably backing out: (This is just for Huntsville folks)

No kidding I tought that there would be at least 5 - 8 of jeeps. Well maybe some more folks will get interested when it gets closer. I sure do hope that the weather is nice so I can wheel topless.

Would it be better to postpone this trip to a later date for more people to make it? I can probably so just about any Saturday in April. So what do ya'll think?
