Hello All,

As you may have seen in other threads, areas are designing specific decals for their region. If anyone here is handy with photoshop or other design software, please feel free to make suggestions in this thread and present any ideas you may have for a decal you would like to see. Please remember to incorporate "The South" into whatever design or template you like.

Visual designs would be ideal, but descriptive written ideas are great too! To let everyone know, Project-JK.com is working on their own area specific decals. However, I was advised that we may design our own decal should we choose to do so.

 

Personally, I'd like to see some homage to the confederate flag. I am a yankee by birth and a southerner at heart even if I know very little of the customs. But, to me as someone that can look at what can be a controversial symbol objectively I think we'd be remiss not to consider a design that honors that heritage. The South to me is not about that negative subject that I won't bring up.

 

I will be the first and hopefully not the last to say that i will not put any decal on my jeep that has anything that remotely resembles a confederate flag. Sure it might remind us of our heritage but sadly that heritage was based on ignorance and racism.

 

You really have nothing positive to say ever do you? Every message I see of yours is negative. In another thread not too long ago you were chiding someone for attempting to have their lift put on by an off-road vendor. And the list could go on.

 

Here's a first attempt. I haven't figured out a way that I like that incorporates a confederate flag yet.

the idea i have is that we establish "The South" in a specific font/style... from there we could have several different background designs that would appeal to everyone.

IE:

Backgrounds could include: Confederate Flag, Hawiian Flower, Mountains, "GA", etc.

this way... we have our standard "the south"... and then each individual could select the background (if any)...

gimme some ideas fellow southerners!

 

Yeah, the mountains is what I was going for in that picture, but I don't know if the message came through. I took an actual picture of some mountains in Georgia and applied some effects until it got that outline, but I guess in a different perspective it could look like lightning or something.

 

i saw mountains when i first looked at it... another thread shows a decal in the small section below the windshield (to the right of rubicon)... something smaller could go there like "the South" with the mountains inlaid behind the words

 

Is this more of what you were thinking. I moved things around a bit.

 

i like that one a lot! basic... no loud... simple... looks good.

if anyone else has ideas.. please share!!
