Arkansas Riders
Welcome, mine is stock height for a sahara and you will be amazed how capable it is stock. I also have 3 kids. Two boys 6 and 3 and the new girl is a week old. I did the plasti dip wheels and grill. Its very easy to do and looks great.
Modding your Jeep is half the fun. Wheeling is the other half. And taking the top and doors off is the other half. Wait? What?
Jeeps are like a grown man's erector set. I've never had a vehicle I felt so comfortable taking apart and putting back together.
I hear ya about the filet dreams on a ground beef budget. So far I've managed to do all the mods I wanted for a decent price and do them myself. The biggest expense will be tires. Wow! 35s are expensive!! So I'm sporting a 2.5" Skyjacker lift with cut fenders and 32" tires. I don't think it looks too bad but it really rides a lot better and wasn't too tough to install.

Great question! I don't know if superlift would be open but that'd be cool. There were some trails that were behind my neighborhood that a lot of jeepers went to when it snowed but that's closed off now. Maybe the national forest?
