Atlanta area folks
Hey just to give y'all a heads up.... Some of you may have read that my baltalion chief was crictically injuries two weeks ago when he fell off the top of one of our ladder trucks. Well yesterday he was transfered to Shepard hospital for intense rehab. If any of y'all are by there or happen to stop in tell them you know Andrew Tompkins. His wife's name is Tracy. If anything just keep him and all of his family and the Shreveport Fire Dept in yalls prayers. Thank you
Andrew Tompkins

That would be awsome. It is kind of weird. Our former fire chief is now the head fire chief in Atlanta. Our firefighter brotherhood is so strong that there were a ton of fireman waiting on Chief Tommy once he arrived at the hospital.
I'll let you know when I hear back from her.
Hey guys and gals. Thank you all for your prayers. Hurstrescue I passed along ur infor to Traci. I am posting a link to a link that the Shepard Center in ATL sets up for families with loved ones at their facility. That way family can keep everyone updated as to progress. You will have to sign up but it is free. Traci keeps it updated as much as she can. So far they have Chief weined off the vent. It is still hooked up to his trach just for pressure support. They got him out of the bed and somewhat sitting up.
Here is the link to the care page. If you do post up please tell Traci what department co # city and state and a JK-forum member (jeep friend as I have told her about all ya'lls prayers)

kleinrider, what is your sister-in-law's name? I was wondering if I knew her. It's tough to get off of the vent. Even then they don't want to take out the trach tube for a while to make sure nothing causes a relapse. The respiratory dept at Shepherd were a great bunch of people.
