I live in Ocala, however when we had the Firestorm years back I was living out in the national forest... be safe and we will hope and pray for rain for you...

We had a small brush fire about 6 weeks ago, about 80 acres of preserve. But that was 80 acres surround by homes including ours. It got to within about 150 yards of my house. There were a couple of houses that had embers flying on the roof tops but no real damage done to anyone. Fire Fighters were everywhere. That was one long sleepless night.

It started on a path that runs through the preserve and I think the conclusion was someone flicked out a cigarette....

In a way, I was kind of glad we had the fire when we did since a couple of weeks later there were high winds and several fires in Palm Bay, south of us, and there were people who lost homes.
