Callantee???? anyone been
Has anyone been to Callantee?
It's a private ORV park in Mountain City TN. I was told it has everything that Tellico had to offer. We are trying to plan a trip but I would like some first hand knowledge of how good it is. I found a few videos on You Tube but not enough.

Callalantee in Mountain City, TN
I really like this place...reminds me of a upscaled Lit'le Stoney with lots of trails, nice camping area, even cabin rentals. Its not that far from JC...

Welder is a nice trail that can be done on 31's open with some interesting obstacles along the trail (ex; waterfall, Easy-out, and some trenched uphill loop, some is do able on 33's but most is probally done better locked on 35"+ tires). But everything has a bypass and viewing other rigs hitting the really gooood stuff can be easily seen from your rig or trail side.
A heck of a hill climb, lots of play areas, and a huge semi-steep rock garden called PULL CABLE, that runs a good 100yrds. It has a bypass road that is moderate in difficulty that runs alongside. Also lit'le Tellico and other moderate to serious rock crawling just off a trail that could be done with a stock 4x4.

Thanks Curiosity. I am trying to get up there in August also and spend a couple of days. Sounds like it could be a good time. I hear it has almost no dust unlike Uwharrie.
That's reason enough to go try it out.

I can about guarantee no dust... its been a very cool wet summer so far. I'm sure the waterfall will be pretty challenging if you decide to climb it.
