Default Driving through columbia SC heading to pigeon forge looking for wheeling spots

I have a wedding to go to on march 23rd 2013. I'm driving my jeep from Wilmington nc through Columbia SC and already know I want to hit up gulches but other than that I'm not sure. If anyone knows of anywhere to wheel let me know. Especially anywhere near pigeon forge TN

Hurricane Creek is literally on the way and Brown Mountain isn't far. Nothing spectacular at either place. Gulches is a lot of fun, though.

Should be threads on both here and elsewhere. Hurricane Creek is exit 8 directly off of I-40 going into TN from NC. Brown Mountain OHV area is between Asheville and Lenoir off of I-40. Also, Coal Creek is awesome and not too far west of Knoxville.

Gulches won't disappoint!! Just be aware they are only open starting 3:00 on Friday and on the weekend.

Brown Mountain is OK but very limited on trails for fullsize vehicles....mostly a dirt bike / 4 wheeler place.

Coal Creek is on my to-do list one of these days. Have heard great things about this park.

Thanks for the heads up about gulches I didn't know that. I should be able to make it still though. Brown mountain is kinda out of my way though so ill have to plan that one another day. That coal creek looks like it could be a lot of fun though and it's only 45 minutes from where I'll be staying. Ill definitely be hitting that up.

By the way are you heading to URE this weekend? We will be heading that way Friday afternoon and maybe staying the night.
