We will look at running over to Cumming/Buford to meet everyone. We live on the west side (20 miles west of Merietta, in Dallas/Hiram. We would like to come meet everyone and run to the park with ya;ll.

That sounds good. When we had this planned a few weeks ago all of us in the Cumming/Buford/Sugar Hill area were going to meet at the McDonalds across from the Mall of Ga. I suspect we'll do the same this time.

Agreed. And given that this is a novice run with several stock JKs (and probably some with All-Terrains), we need to be conservative here. Let's make a call at 5pm Saturday based on how much rain that area gets during the day (or forecasted overnight).

If it's looking sloppy, we can still head up to some NGA forest service roads as an alternative on Sunday.

Thoughts?

Went and bought my 8000 lbs winch yesterday..Now I just need a little fabrication and itll be good to go. Either way, I;ll look at the post daily and see what the plan may be...If we do not have to run out of town (My Dad is really sick in alabama) we are looking at being at the Micky D's, across form the Mall Of Ga around 9:00am sun morn...Does thst sound right? One of the folks said thats where ya;ll have met in the past....So I went to the google maps and found it....
We will have to leave our place a tad early, because we are on the West side of ATL.

That's the meeting point for this area, but we'll probably leave a little earlier as it's a 2 hour drive even from here. The last couple attempts at getting DTown going, the plan was to meet at 7am to get there by about 9 and make the most of daylight.

Would everyone be OK with 8AM departure from McD's?

Weather as of now is calling for 40-60% rain this weekend.

Not that I have much faith in the weatherman predictions till then.
