Default fixed a little problem

So, as you can see from the photo i'm in need of a little more room for flexing

thanks to dave at northridge4x4 that problem is half solved with a set of xenon flat fenders on the way. unfortunately i am now broke and cant afford to fix the other half of my problem, the bumper. so should i run it with the cut bumper or with the stock stubby and the high-lift or no bumper and the high-lift mounted?

Hmmm, Actually I think it looks pretty good without the bumper. I'm fixing to do something along the same lines. Drill & tap some holes in the factory hooks and mount it on top. I think it looks good up front.

I think it looks good without the bumper with the high lift jack on there but if you get in an accident you're screwing up the jack. I'd make the stock bumper a stubby and just mount the jack to the top like scott suggests.

oh yeah i meant to ask you how the rampage hi-lift mount was working. i love the placement but i've heard nothing but horror stories about how horrible the kit is. for $40 i will probably pick one up but wanted to ask you how you liked it.

That mount is working out great with a minor hardware change. The wing nuts it ships with are a joke. Bump it around a trail half the day and it aint gonna hold. 1" of 1/2" rubber hose and some real nuts and bolts and it works great.

That said I am reconfiguring/modifying my Rampage mount to hold a Jerry can.

thats actually a picture with no bumper, just the 4Xrack mounted directly to the frame. the only thing i dont like about it is it reduces my approach angle considerably because it sticks out so far. luckily chunks gave me his stock bumper, the one with the tow hooks and fogs, so i cut up my base model bumper for practice to see if it was worth cutting his up until i get some cash for this bad boy i found a guy on ebay (hotjeepparts) who can sell it NIB with the stinger for $470 shipped!

Is that the rugged ridge?

BTW, I like the stock stubby too.

What happened to your fog lights? Where did you get the plain front bumper?

Would it be possible to have a foglight bumper w/ the tow hooks w/ the sides cut off? Just wondering...
