GATR at Morris Mountain Jan 25th - 27th
GA Trail Riders has reserved Morris Mountain for the weekend of Jan 25th through the 27th. It is a club exclusive event so only members can ride. If you would like to attend come check out www.Gatrailriders.com and sign up. To become a member first Creat a User Name and Password and then click on the "General Discussion" Tab and click the "How To Join GATR Club" thread. There are no dews, no fees, just a simple list of vehicle requirements (things like tow hooks) and we ask you tread lightly and take care of the trails you ride on.
Morris Mountain is a good mix of rocks and hill climbs. The obstacles range from stock capable to buggy only and there is a bypass for each obstacle that runs beside it so there is no splitting up for long periods of time. When i went last time in my 2dr X with LSD, 35" tires and rock rails I had plenty to do and plenty of fun.

Here are pictures from my last trip with a Columbus, GA club called Havoc Offroad. The pictures are from only a small part of the park. We spent more time riding and less taking pictures

dont forget to sign up and become a member! Once you do this you will get access to the member section and see the thread for the ride. Like i said it will be members only ride. Usually when we reserve a park for just us we keep it members only because we do have to pay for the park and each member does get charged. When we do parks like Beasley and Tellico its an anyone can come ride.
anyone else want to come along with us? RotorHead (mike) is part of GA Trail Riders also. Dont feel your Jeep is to small or to stock to go. We have several stock, or close to stock (small lift, 31 - 33" tires and open diffs) Jeeps, a Ford Ranger, Dodge Durango and an H2 in the club also so its not all highly modded Wranglers getting brought in on trailers. I know i have to be able to drive my jeep home sunday!
yeah i wouldnt suggest missing that one! well we do have one every month so hopefully you can catch us on the next one. If anything maybe you can come out for just the day and pay the normally daily fee. Talk to Chris or Mike (Rotorhead) about that situation. You are a GATR member already so takes care of that requirement

Yes, come on over if you can, Tony, even if it's only for a few hours. I'm planning on camping all weekend. I hope it's not too cold. I will be buying a camper by Spring, but won't have it yet.
I've been put in charge of planning our February run. It will probably be towards the end of the month, since our Jan. run is so late. I'm leaning towards Gray Rock, but need to get everybody's input. We try to alternate exclusive rides with open rides, so I'm not sure if we will reserve the whole park or just ride down.
If anybody here is interested in a February ride and has any suggestions, I'm open to them.
