Good trails up around me. Wanna try them? There are two othewr guys around here that might want to ride too. Email me. cbarber91@gmail.com.

The trail heads are about a mile from my house, and I live right in the middle of town, so we can have a cookout after the ride and tell tall tales of the ride! I think there are almost a hundred miles worth of trails, you can spend all day on them or just a few hours.

I only recommend riding them dry, when they get wet, it can be hairy!

I'm ready when you are! Off from 12/19 - 1/5.

JK Junkie - 100 miles of trails sounds great!! How would you describe them in terms of difficulty? Reason I ask is that 08{GA}RUBICON is seeking an area that we can converge on for a South "Meet and Greet" ride. Do you think the trails around your area would be suitable for something like that (i.e., do they have a mixture of terrain - rock, mud, dirt trail, etc.), or are they primarily miles of dirt road? Thanks.

LMAO! Oh yeah. I don't think there ar many rock climbs, BUT I scouted trails that scared me to death. I had to back up and say nope to 'em. There are very good challenges and many levels of runs. Some I think might be a bit much for even a Jeep. I know one that even 4 wheelers flip on trying to go up or down, about a 45 degree slope that is rather long. A jeep might flip on it. But, if you got the power and balls , try it.

The only downside is this is considered "pribvate" it's posted but everyone runns it at all times of the year. As long as no one has a weapon, they just tell you to leave. BUT, I have yet to meet anyone that has ever had any problems with ANY law enforcement. Mostly game wardens are out there looking for illegal hunting, even that is rare. I thinnk a small group would have fun with no problems. But I warn you, I fish and fossil hunt when I get out there. It's a pretty area and you can spend all day out there. I have "quick" trail escapes to get out if needed. Never needed them though. As long as no one is drunk and shooting firearms, everything should be cool.

And these are not
"dirt roads", these are real trails with fun drops and runs. Some I wouldn't try unless I had a special rig and a winch. You can run them all day and never hit the same trail twice.

/also have some family in the area that can help us out if someone flips. LOL.

ok that's what I thought just checking....last time I tried going out there was a few weeks ago right after they found that woman that was missing, and everything was blocked..couldn't get in. I've been a few times before, and the one trail that I went down went for a LONG way and then forked 3 different ways! We ended up turning around cuz there was some big rocks that my friend didn't wanna try...I was willing, but he didn't want to. It's fun, but there are some big & nasty mudholes too.

Here's mine climbing one of the small hills out there:

And here's what ours looked like after we were done....

It'll be a couple weeks before I can go, but I'll tag along...

Sure thing! I think they reopened most of the trail heads. There ARE a few on my families property that are usually easy to get to.

I grew up riding those trails and there are many alternate routes and much fun to be found.

There is even a place that has a coal fire that has been burning for over 30 years, it's really cool to see at dusk. All blue flame. I don't kow if it has gone out yet, but it was still burning a few years ago. The trail next to it leads to a fun little ride.

Email me and maybe spring would be a bit better time to go.
