Got any Alabama folks??
Doesn't ring a bell, but that town's gotten alot bigger than it used to be. I'll ask my grandparents next time I talk to them, still gotta call my grandad and tell him about getting the JK so I can listen to the "that was stupid, save your money, you don't need a new Jeep" speech.
There are alot of "Ethridge's" down there, and I'm sure someone you know has heard of my grandad...(Carl) he's been selling cars in town for over 50 yrs. (retired now)
I never did get a hold of my little bro today, but I'll ask him next week if I see him. Guess I'll see if he can take me to some trails around Enterprise to see if my little 2-wheel drive can get a little dirty. I think next year I'll look at ordering a Rubicon. That's what I really wanted, but I was very impatient & didn't want to wait. I was told that you can convert a 2-wheel drive to a 4-wheel drive (bye bye warranty). Is is worth it to do that, or just get a stock 4x4?
I wouldn't think it'd be worth it.... just trade it in, take it up the "tailpipe", and get a 4x4. Can't the dealer down there search other local Jeep dealers to see if they have something you want? I completely understand about being impatient though...if I had to order one I would probably change my mind 40 times before it arrived!
Yep. Me too. I'll see where I stand next year & decide if I can trade it in. I'll probably need to pay it down quite a bit...maybe try to sell it myself rather than trade. I would love a Rubi, but I'm fine w/ another Sahara...as long as it's a 4x4. Worried about how difficult it will be to sell a 4x2. We'll see in the spring.
I live between Dothan & Enterprise off Hwy 84. Just got my JK 8/24/07. I was a little impatient, and didn't want to wait to order one, so I took what was on the lot...the only 4-door Sahara...a 2 wheel drive! Anybody else here have a 4x2? If so, is it okay for off-roading, or should I just keep it on the pavement?? I love my JK, but I wish mine was a 4x4. Any thoughts??

Ehh i bought a 2x4 as well. I bought it with the intention of never taking it over anything it couldn't go over in 2x4... Well now I regret it but love the jeep so I just went ahead and threw a lift and tires on it. Have you found any good places to ride with it?
Hi all,
I'm from Gadsden, live in Southside, we have a new ORP that has opened just north of here. http://www.mountainsideoffroadpark.com
It a good ride, I have a Samurai I take and my son has a cherokee, wife won't let me ride the JK yet.
