I have family up in the area and will be there the weekend of Aug 4. Any spots to wheel up there? I would like to take my father out for some jeep fun (assuming I can get him to do it).

Callalantee is closed; been closed for a while now, the owner passed away and estate is tied up in courts

 

Bumpas Cove (maybe 'bumpus' cove) is a pretty good wheeling spot. I went to school at ETSU for 4 years from 2000-2004 and wheeled those trails quite a bit. There are also some around Horse Creek (closer to Greenville, TN... bout 20 min from JC).
