July 18 Trail Ride - Mountainside ORP (Gadsden, AL)
Dang!! Did you guys all tune your SWR so that Channel one is at 1.0 or something. Mine is close to that at Channels 19 or 20 where I thought folks wanted their best performance, but goes up to around 1.5 at Channels 1 and 40 (basically inverted Bell curve).
Just wondering if I've missed out on some SWR tuning secret.
By the way, plan on being at Mountainside around 9:00AM with another friend who drives a modified 4Runner.

Had an absolutely great time wheeling at Mountainside this past Saturday. As a bonus we were able to ride in an area normally closed to the general public . . . thus the great overlook shots. Enjoyed meeting Ben and friends, along with re-establishing acquaintance with Corey and Mike. Here's a few pics from the trip.
Corey on rocks.

ARB and AEV bumpers - I need to mount my IPF lights.

Mike wheeling.

Assaulting a rock climb way over my head (literally and figuratively).

Overlook on top and facing East towards GA.

Note Weiss Lake in the background.

Mike goofing around.

Ben hits Flashover.

Ben conquers Flashover.

Corey hamming it up.

Ben is behind that wall of water.

Stuck but happy.

Still stuck and sinking a little.

The puddle aftermath.

Gary climbing Slippery When Wet - felt pretty good about this one as a lot of other seriously built vehicles had difficulty getting over the initial ledge.

Corey gives Slippery When Wet a try.

This guy was doing some mean rock crawling in a very expensive rig.
