Legality?

Does anyone know if its legal to put a RED lit christmas wreath on the spare tire and have it act as a brake light? I wasn't sure how the PD would feel about this...

if you can wire it into your brake lights then go for it... it would be like having a third breaklight... but .... better.

Shouldn't be too difficult... I guess I could put in a plug splice or I could try wiring it to the trailer hitch power, as though it were another set of brake lights on a trailer...

+1 on the above comments. I know the only regs around here prohibit forward facing red lights without a permit.
