Default line-x the inside

I am looking to get the inside of the 4 door line-xed. Does anyone have a good recommendation? I see there are are a couple authorized folks in N. Atl but I don't have any experience or know anything about them. Anyone had work done up in N. Atl?

No experience here in GA but I hope you plan to spend more than $600 to get done.

When I got mine done, I stripped it completly and they still wanted to charge $500 for my little TJ. I bought the raptor u-pol kit and did it myself for $130. Then sprayed my full roll cage with another kit and tinted it to the color of the jeep... just make sure u shop around before you jump in

Theres a line-x place out here off of hwy 120 (Dallas hwy). Don;t know what they'd charge though. But I am gonna do the entire inside of my 99 XJ.... But I was gonna do it myself also. Can;t be that difficult....

I'm DEFINITELY interested in doing this also. I spent my thanksgiving vacation chiseling all the insulation out from the inside and starting prep. I was gonna do it myself with... I think it was Al's Liner? or something like that anyway, but would prefer the lifetime warranty of a Line-X job.
I wonder if we could get a group discount if enough of us showed interest? I priced a place in Athens and they wanted $1400 for my Unlimited IF I took EVERYTHING out, and sanded and taped it off myself... I kindly told them no thanks.

Did the inside of mine myself. All depends on how anal you are on the final appearance. i think mine turned out pretty good but its not Linex good.
Both doing it yourself or having someone do it requires a lot of work on your part to prep the vehicle. And lets not forget trying to loosen the seat bolts. Had to go to a shop and have them loosen them with an airgun that had higher psi than the one I had.

Couple of notes from mine.

I had it done to my 4D, and I love it! I completely stripped everything out including the caulk insulation, and plugged all holes with golf tees. Had it done by Line-x of Boise, Idaho and they did a great job! With all the prep work I did it was $600 for the tub/tailgate up to the boards.

With that said, few things I wish I had known prior...

1) The texture of the line-x holds dust like non-other. If you live in a dusty area (like I did when I was in Idaho) you're interior will never look clean after running it with no doors, unless you want to sit there with a nylon brush and scrub the dust out with a hose running. This was never a problem with my truck as I could hit it with a high-pressure washer, but I don't want to run one inside my Jeep.

2) KEEP YOUR CARPET. I would recommend this. I threw mine out after getting it line-xed, but wish I had kept mine to keep in the Jeep when not out wheeling. I never noticed any significant increase in road noise/heat, but it would be nice to still have my carpet instead of Line-x for everyday, especially when it's filled with dust.

3) LINE-X WILL NOT NATIONALLY WARRANTY ANYTHING OTHER THAN A BEDLINER. If you get your Jeep interior done, it's up to that individual retailer if they will warranty it. READ THE LINEX WARRANTY, it's for bedliners only. Never had any problems with the finish on mine, but now that I've relocated, they are under no obligation to repair.

4) Have the feet of the seat brackets line-x'ed. I need to do this still, but it's on the list of things to do. Reason being, is water likes to pool especially in the rear floorboards and those steel brackets will sit in the puddle. Coat them to protect them from rusting out.

well... the warranty information may change things... I just got a sample of Al's liner in from idaho liner (.com) and the stuff looks pretty good. You can even spray it to a smooth texture, flat color, or even color match... I'm gonna take the sample outside and hit it with a hammer while it rests on steel and try cutting it with a knife and see how it holds up... The kit costs $150 for the spray gun and a gallon of product... each additional gallon is only $100 too. I might even get my dad to help go half on the gun since it's obviously reusable and he wants to line his truck bed.

If it holds up, this might be a good alternative to repainting the exterior from all the scratches haha.

Keep us informed. I'm interested in doing something like this as well. I'd really like to know how the Al's Liner works for you.

Had mine done at Line-X on Cobb Pkwy. Talk to to Shane at 770-919-0611. I went there for just a quote and got $800 Including them stripping all parts and everything plus upgrade to UV protectant. Sounds high but all I did was drop it off and pick it up. I was his first 4dr JK so he didn't know what to expect. Maybe he should have charged more? Anyway I love it. A husky and always leaving top off in rain made a big mess and this is great. couple of notes.

1: Take tabs off hardtop retainers if you have them. They will have to be cut out with razor blade and then touch up blank spots on tub.

2: Remind them of door swing and door dimple. They paid for repair.

3: Mark spots on rear that have to stay flat on rail and cover them. Razor blade again for soft top clips and rubber that meets door.

4: Don't lose drain plugs. Your feet will bake if you leave out drivers plug in summer. And I mean bake. Save the carpet for winter.
