I found Turkey Creek Park which appears to be located 5-10 miles away. It's a campground with a big lake and all other expected amenities for a campground I presume - I've never been. I called and "reserved" a few spots; we have two travel trailers and a couple tents... Do you know anything about Turkey Creek? Would we be better off staying at the campground you are talking about right outside the gate? Thanks!

LCC is the largest off road event in Louisiana. All proceeds go to the Wingman Cancer Foundation. The event includes competition, trail riding, spectating and raffle. We offer everything from bone stock to the baddest buggies. Come out for the weekend to watch the competition, compete in the event or trail ride with free reign of the property. We also have a raffle and bounty hill on Sunday after he awards ceremony. Visit LouisianaClubChallenge.com for more info or you can PM me. There is camping and amenities inside and outside of the park both primitive and rentable, including RV hookups. You can also watch videos from the past couple of years on our YouTube channel: WTS Offroad.

Here is the link to the trailer for this year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tPT7WAbWdo

I do know a lot about turkey creek, I've camped there before. It is about 15 mins up the road to the off road park. There is camping on site with amenities and RV hookups and also a camp ground literally outside the gate of the park. It is up to you if you want to make the drive from the campground to the park, but of you are primitive camping, I would suggest staying on grounds at the park. There is tons of room around the parking lot if you want to stick around the crowd and nightlife or you can camp out further into the park for total privacy.

LCC was awesome. Got stuck a couple times but was plenty of helpful jeepers to get us back rolling.

Can't wait to do it again!!!
