need help in birmingham!!
ok, i am desperate to turn off the esp in my 07 2 door. i have already gone to the dealership and had them flash the computer but i still cant get it to turn off.. anybody in birmingham or surrounding areas that would be willing to come and help me do this? please.
This is fairly basic, but just in case I'll describe one possible issue. After I helped a friend install his adjustable front track bar, we jumped in his JK for a test spin around the block. ESP went crazy - kept applying brakes and we were just driving down a road that was straight as an arrow. Turns out that the ESP system is very sensitive to steering wheel alignment. If it's not close to centered, then you may have problems. After we adjusted the steering wheel alignment, all was good.
Even corrected an issue that he would occasionally experience when he drove around a freeway cloverleaf (Edit: This was prior to the adjustable track bar install). If he went into the initial curve just a hair too fast, on would come the brakes. That was with a 2" budget boost lift. Again, after the alignment - goodness.
Hope your solution will be this simple.
