Johnson city will have more hotels and its about 30 min to Elizabethon, i cant speak for hotels in elizabethton though , never looked em up. there are also several camp grounds near by if you get in early enough the night before.

Hope you can make it Chad... you'll like this trail a lot more than Horse Creek. Dodge Hill reminds me a lot of some of the hardest parts of trail 3 at windrock. The rest is similar to trail 16, but with a few more optional obstacles.

I am still riding low and ashamed of my roller skate wheels. I may be bigger by then so put me down as a maybe.

ive been up this trail 4 times with the stock 224 30-31" tires with no lift i did have to have some rocks stacked to get over certain areas but it is very doable. these were also all weather tires stock from jeep. just a reminder you will get a lil tail pin stripping as well
