Default OBA Installation

Sooooo.....
I purchase the viair oba system and a bracket (different manufacturer) for the air compressor.
As planned the bracket arrived in the mail, today, and I decided I would just go ahead a prefit the bracket.
Ran into a coulple of snags with the bracket, I don't anticipant that it will be a showstopper but a little disappointed with the fit. Won't be able to confirm until Monday as I would have the compressor on-site.
See below.

Moving iPhone Picture of air compressor bracket...

I call this one wait who put these lines in the way.

Yep it aint gonna fit.

How's the bubble look.

I couldn't bolt it in...
It says for 07 & 08 JK year model. When the OBA system arrives hopefully I can do a in-field modification.
Still like the bracket, just needs a little fit and finish detail.

I can't picture what it bolts to... brake booster? anyway it looks like there's room to mount on top...?

Oh and I wouldn't be too concerned with a slight off-level unless your compressor is the oil type. I would think the ViAirs would be oil-less.

Let me know if you need a hand with that install. I aint got much goin on this weekend

Yes it does mount to the brake booster.
I put the level on it to give reference.
The bracket hits both the hose and the hard brake line.
Just trying to control my enthusiasm with the OBA - just not here yet.

Thanks for the offer however, I'm playing landscaping technician this saturday (four lawns to cut, edge and sweep).
But it pays off the OBA - that's what I'm talking about.

Is notching the bracket around the line/hose an option? You know, hit em with a grinder? Just a thought

That's probably what's gonna have to happen I want to get the air compressor first to verify the actual mounting points.

NICE...I think its very possible...
looking at "YES" the directions it shows the shorter bracket which is used for the ARB air compressor...

Okay,
So we picked up the Viair System today
YEAH BABY!

Yes everyone it will fit in the back with the seat upright as well.

Packaging...very nice and clean.

The only feedback that I would request of Viair is that some sort of documentation be provided but its not like we're rebuilding the space shuttle.

MOUNTING BRACKET SITUATION UPDATE <------
On the bracket the holes didn't line up at all with the 450c air compressor in any configuration that I tried.
There will be a necessary modification to the bracket.
Something to the effect of shortening it then building a top plate that would accommodate the proper mounting points and be elevated above the brake lines.

I'll be in Vegas the rest of the week so I'll have plenty of time to stew on it.
Again what happens in Vegas stay's in Vegas.
Cheers.

That compressor looks narrow enough to accommodate shaving a good bit off the long edges of your bracket, yeah? Enough for 1/2"? (1/4" off both sides) Drill a few holes. BAM!
