Default Re-Gearing

I am looking to re-gear my 2011 JKU soon. I am running 33's and it just feels too sluggish.

I am going to need two things.. Does anyone know a shop close to Western Kentucky (Paducah) that does this without destroying the wallet? I also need a simple list of just the essentials (no extras like lockers) needed for a 5.13 gearing from stock '11 Sahara.

Thanks,

What gears do you have? if you have 3.73's then you won't need a axel housing in the Dana 30. if you have 3.21's you will need a new axel housing.

If I am wrong please correct me! and is 5.13's what you want? or will that be too low for you with only 33's? I am asking this because I am running 33's and I want to regear soon. I am debating 5.13's vs 4.88's because my next rubber will be 35's...

Ok, second thought... Should I either re-gear or trade in for a '12?

A 2012 or 2013 is going to come with 3.21's if it is a sport or 3.73's or 4.10's if a Rubicon. Plus there are other packages that can affect the gears you get such as ordering max tow package, auto or manual trans etc.

Regearing can cost up to $2000.00 but on an ordered vehicle from jeep getting 4.10's may be a lot cheaper.

Have you done a flash programmer yet? like the superchip which really improves performance and ajusts shifting etc.

Also I had great power output on my 08' with 4.10 gears and 33"s with a programmer.

No I haven't used a programmer yet... I am really looking at just getting the '12 Rubicon loaded. I just hate the thought of losing all the work put into this one.
