I just moved to Florida from Minnesota and was concerned about my vehicle rusting due to the saltair from the Atlantic. I am in Cape Canaveral right now and will be moving to Port St. John, so can I expect my JK to rust out soon?

 

vehicles will not rust nearly as fast from salty air down here as they will from salted, icey roads up there.

I know of a lot of local jeeps nearly 20 years old without overbearing rust problems.

A wash and decent coat of wax (or equivalent: wash/wax in one) every couple weeks or so certainly would extend the life... just dont forget to give the underbelly a good hosing.

My secret is to not go more than 2 weeks without wheeling it - that way I have a reason to crawl up under it and hose it down
