If you are talking about skyline wma in Jackson county, Alabama, it is closed annually from May 1st until October 1st. Sorry

^^^ What Bama said. Basically it is opened specifically for hunting season. Being able to wheel on it is just a "windfall" benefit during that time period.

Has anyone checked out the availability of Mtnside for a weekend rental? I know it's closed, but perhaps the owners would consider making a few bucks every now and then on the occasional weekend.

Ahh, thanks for the info, didn't realize they closed the area. We will probably reschedule this to Choccolocco then.

JK Rubi - Just called them and they are no longer available to rent out, even as a private party. But, Choccolocco is the new Mountainside. Lots of good trails, excellent facilities, we had a great time when we were up there in May.

What about going to the spot we went on the Sunday of the 2011 ride? In Gurley? Seems like forever since I've seen any of the Huntsville crew.

You would be referring to Coal Mine. Its a good ride. I'd be down for that.
