Trey at the mountain... said they just recently were given a physical address, but he said it would most likely not be on GPS, but to instead gps another place which is 3 stop signs away off Ladiga Street:
Roma Pizza and Steak House
1 Public Square E
Jacksonville, Alabama
Tel: 256-435-3080

Great idea. My experience in offroad parks is very limited. I've been to Mountainside in Gadsden and liked it. It's open the first and third weekends of the month, but we were able to rent the entire park for a day during one of the off weekends. It's not exactly centrally located in the state so I'm not sure how big this one would go over. The only other park I know of in Alabama is Greyrock north of Birmingham. I've never been there, so I don't know if they have trails for stock or slightly modded jeeps.
Cullman is supposed to be opening an ORV park too, but not until next spring I think.

And for us Atlanta people it's about 2.5 hours west of us so it's not that bad of a hual.

I did a search on Stony Lonesome ORV. This is the park in Cullman I was thinking of. They have a website up, but most of the information is "coming soon". And like BamaJK said, it says they are opening Dec 10 for limited use.

And while I'm posting links, here are Mountainside(close to Gadsden, halfway between Birmingham and Chattanooga), Gray Rock(close to Birmingham) and Choccolocco(roughly halfway between Birmingham and Atlanta)

There should be plenty of hotels to pick from around mountainside and Gray Rock. Choccolocco looked like it was kind of off by itself.
Cullman will have a few hotels to pick from too and since it is less than an hour away from Huntsville, me and a couple other guys from here could go check it out when it opens.
Just found this in another thread. The link should help anyone anywhere find a place to wheel:
