I have been looking into the teraflex 2.5", would I still need the rock rails. Right now I have the side steps - I know they do not help with rocks, they were on the jeep.

Would suggest you consider getting that CB off the wish list, and onto the JK before the Tellico trip. I think you'll be very glad that you did especially when you're out on the trails.
