Default What does the BAS light mean

Just like it says, I finished putting the 4'' lift on today and when and drove it down the road, and my ESP was kicking on like crazy so i hit the push button to cut it off. So the light came on sayin it was turn off, but I could feel it still trying to engage, the the ESP/BAS light came on as well. Parked shut the jeep off, everything reset, went driving down the road and the ESP started kicking in again... I know I have to take it to a shop to get the ESP fixed, but I didn't know what the BAS was? and what needed to be done?

lol I know this is going to sound bad, but no because I know how to put on a lift but don't know how to center my steering wheel.

Most likely it's just that the steering wheel isn't centered as already mentioned. It's also important to understand that pushing the button only turns off aspects of the entire ESP system.
