Ok,
My son wants to canoe and swim in the clear streams of central florida... (think Wiki Wachee and Silver Springs) Are there places to go that but are not tourist traps, i.e. public access parks and beaches?

Thanks
Cheap Father

there used to be a guy across from that beach on the wiki watchee river that rented canoes. there is a restaurant there, the upper deck maybe? doubt that guy is still there, but should be someone that does rentals in that area. also, a little further north is chasawithca or something like that, and rainbow river. lots of other things to do that does not cost much.
