Yeah, it's a pretty significant jump. They're less expensive than Tom Woods at $700 and JE Reel at $800-850, but it's still up there.
My personal opinion is that 1350 is overkill unless you're in high horsepower/lots of skinny pedal with huge tires situations. Otherwise, the disadvantages of a 1350 vs 1310 point in the 1310's favor, most notably that 1350 will bind up before a 1310, tube diameter allowing greater droop and generally perform better on the road for the daily driver crowd.

Hinrichs, give me a shout anytime.
mjbjw: That would cause the ears of the yoke to become the weak link. This means that the ear of the yoke will break before the u-joint itself, which means no trail fix with a spare u-joint. It's a nice buzzword from some companies to offer the cryo treated u-joints (and I do offer 1310 cryo joints for $45 each if you really really wanted them). Do I recommend them? No, I like the "fuse" in my builds to be an easy fix.

Glad to have found this thread tonite. Discovered a tear in the rear seal of my front shaft today. Guess a new shaft is in my immediate future. Will call you with some questions. Thanks for posting.
