I'm over 40. My opinion is based on many years of wheeling. While my "hard core" vehicle is not even a Jeep. But the day will soon be here where I will be taking my JK through the same places I take my buggy.

I like the round lights because they are a smaller target. If I'm going to put armor in the rear quarter panel of my Jeep, it's because I might take a hit there. So I want as small a target as possible. I also want a light that is recessed into the cavity, not sticking out of it.

I like the corner guards. Prefer the oval (am I near 50); looks nicer in the narrow space there. Do not like black tail lights.

Sliders are a nice touch.

License plate bracket not essential to me.

Price point very important. Rather it be affordable than lots of extras

I'm over 40 and yep, you guessed it, I like the oval lights better. Like Micah said it just seems to work with the lines on the rear quarter panel and hardtop. It matches up with the lights on your new bumper too, which I really like.

I also like the sliders and although I haven't relocated my license plate, I probably would with these corners just to keep the lines smooth and uniform. But I would pass on the laser cutting. It would just be more small spaces that I would have to clean mud and dirt out of.

Ya they are very nice, i like the one with the slider, very nice. It looks like the fender is part of the armor, does it come with the fender and side armor as one piece. Im certainly leaning to putting all OR-Fab goodies on my jeep, front bumper, also dig that new rear bumper and of course the new tire carrier. Ive allready got the rock rails so ive got my start

I'm just thinking out loud here, so go easy on me. It might be kind of cool to have a tab on the right side of the driver's side tail light to mount a CB antenna, and a grommet and a small hole going into the tail light/secret cubbyhole/waste of space. It would make for a very clean looking CB setup. That way the antenna wouldn't be hanging off the side ready to break on a tree or rock (like with the license plate setup a lot of people run). I dunno...just a thought.

Very cool Yates. What I would like to see is the armour go to the door jam and down to meet the rocker armour(2 door)with the OR-FAB lizard cut out going up. And the slider going the length of the Quarter panel. And maybe the slider coming up just a little bit more to protect the hard top & glass (when on). Me and Casey had to deal with that exact issue in parker and that bar would have solved the problem. Just my thoughts. But I love it, Now we need steel fenders!

As for the bumper with oval lights and side armor with round lights would look a little off. An thoughts on making bumper lights round like the side armor? I would like to see ORF logo put into the side armor.
Maybe OR-Fab will make a reloc bracket for license plates to there tire carrier...just my 2cents
I'm also PMing you. I'm interested in your idea for relocation bracket. With the bumper we're going with the oval lights, as those really put out a great pattern for backing up.

I definately prefer round lights over the oval ones but is there any way to use somehting other than the litedots? Every time I see them mounted on a vehicle there are burnt out led's and they are really expensive compared to the standard push in ones that all big trucks use. (I like it when the spare parts are available and innexpensive)

I LOVE the idea of the Project JK cut out!!! I can't believe no-one else thought of that before!

Edit* I'm 38 by the way
I'll have our purchasing folks source some regular lights as well. The project team has the concept of "High Quality/Low Maintenance" with the lights. You are correct that these are more expensive than the standard push in lights. Since we are outsourcing these we want to make certain high quality lights are included... people don't get mad because something cost more, but they'll get mad if you supply crap along with your product!

Definitely going to check this idea out!

Also, Is there enough screws to keep the panel down and in place? Looks like your tire carrier also fits nicely. im thinking I may have to reconsider the tire carrier if it fits well with these.

Any package deals? Install available?
Alan is our Staff Mechanical Engineer. We'll find out if he got his calculations right this coming week. Thanks for the compliment on fitment with tire carrier.

Hey J,

Steve and I talked yesterday about your desire to have the plate extended. He agreed that it would had some protection in certain circumstances, but thought it would be minimal (you've got Steve's number).

The gecko laser cut is a thought! We've always had that as our secondary logo for OR-Fab, and it's by far our most popular sticker!

Great input so far folks. Thank you very much!!!!

Yates

Is there any way you can recess whatever lights you choose to go with? Im more partial to the round, but only for the color. The oval lights look like a carnival ride, or something taken of a 50's cadilac.

Although the more I look at it, the more i realise I like carnivals and cadilacs... Hahahaha who am I kidding. Ill buy any OR Fab product before another company. Sell me your corners and carier!

Will your Bone Doc bumper clear 40's on your new rotopax carrier?
