Default Full-traction Heavy Duty Rear sway bar

Full-Traction now offers a replacement 19mm rear sway bar for use on Jeep JK models that are equipped with a lift kit or used while heavily loaded. The new bar is a bolt-in replacement for the stock bar. It provides increased roll stiffness through its larger diameter and is designed to reduce understeer/bodyroll while still being flexible enough for severe off road use. Recommended for all lifts of 3" and over. Comes complete with urethane pivot bushings and complete installation instructions.

Sweet! Nice to see something that's more along the lines of a bolt in replacement versus a whole different system which is awesome off road and not so awesome on road!

I installed this last week and will say it is a noticeable improvement in the way my jeep drives. Especially when driving fast, there used to be a somewhat loose feeling to the rear of the jeep. That is markedly decreased now. I think this should be considered a high priority mod for taller lifts, maybe even part of the original package for 6" lifts.

I am wondering how it will impact the performance off road. I'll let you know when I get a chance to check it out, but anyone else have any impressions?

BTW, the install is a total piece of cake. Take the old one off. Put the new one on. There are 3 holes to attach the disco to. I put mine in the middle one for now. The one at the end of the bar allows more flex, and the one that is placed closest to the rear of the jeep (allowing the shortest length of the bar) gives even extra stiffness. I'll probably use that one when I hit the highway loaded for Colorado, and then use the last slot on the trails. It takes just a few minutes to switch them to where you want it. No problems.

Thanks for your post, it will not decrease your flex Offroad. But let us know what you think.

I also noticed a big difference on my two door, it's well worth the price.

I believe I bent my stock rear swaybar this weekend. I may go this route if it is bent. But since I know I destroyed my rear driveshaft I have to fix that 1st. Good to know I have aftermarket options.

How did you manage that?

I guess you are asking about the swaybar and not the DS

We just went thru a creek trail that is very rock and everything seemed fine. When we got back to the access road I was hearing a wiered noise in the back. It turned out to be the passenger side swaybar link was trapped behind the track bar bracket. I just removed the links and continued on. The next day we went back and slid on a off camber turn going up hill and got wedged on a root ball and boulder that went up under the frame rails.

Tough weekend. I do have the EVO rockstars, there is a chance that the rear links are to long, but they seemed fine during the install.
