Hmm.. Red lodge, must mean The morrison Jeep trail! --I recognize the spot with the 1200 ft drop directly in front of your Jeep. Shoulda taken a picture straight down! That is where I would take them too! That will get some hearts pounding! Going up or down?
I imagine Goose lake, one trail looks like Kersy lake... should be fun!
Don't know how far into Montana your going... they just opened the "middle fork trail" after being closed for 6 years. 27 river crossings....
I'm sure it will be closed again soon- but that is another of Montana's best trails!

Bring your long-John's too! Starting Sunday and continuing into next week ice and snow possible in the higher elevations... highs in the 40's and 50's above 6,000 feet. 
This is why I don't backpack past Aug. up here-
Jeeping is good because you can stay warm, but the elements can make things pretty interesting at times! It will be a great test for your tires!
