Great...Just when I though I knew what I wanted along comes this option.

Could I expect to see some front drive shaft issues on the Stock Mod kit on a 2dr Auto?

No sir, you should not expect to see any front driveshaft issues. Unless of course you are off roading and smash it on a rock or something.

Yes, if you do not remove the OEM transmission cross member you stand the chance of cutting the boot on the front drive shaft. You need to account for the extra lift height and improved travel ranges. The best thing to do is remove the OEM tranny crossmember.

I am slightly confused here... I thought on a 2 door you will have an issue with the drive shaft, like all lifts. Is there any othe options than removing the skid?

If you have an automatic transmission you chance the drive-shaft boot from getting torn up. I'll try to find you the pictures.

Yeah the boot will just snag on the crossmember. I have seen people cut it out around the driveshaft, or remove it.

Sorry to bring up an old thread,


How is everyone feeling about their 2.5 lift? Pics, pro cons. I have a auto JKU 08 and am trying to decide between this kit and the TF 2.5 coil.
