I imagine that because our original headliners are wrapped in soft fabric they absorb sound better, but as far as heat insulation they are probably close to the same. In fact, a 1/4 inch of card board stuck to the inside of your hard top would cut the heat drastically, but wouldn't look too good. It really just comes down to taste and pocket book. Leather and vinyl seat covers look and function pretty much the same yet people pay much more for leather because it feels more luxurious and because it's leather. Our original headliners are on the higher end of the luxury scale. The materials are more expensive and they take more labor to make. We also want to make a product for people who aren't so worried about luxury and just want something that works. We're a small company. We can't expect to survive with all these big fish if we don't bob & weave a little. This is just us doing that. Our hope is that our new headliners will fill a need.

regards,

Mark
