Poison Spyder Dana 30 Bombshell Diff Covers
Earlier this year we introduced the re-designed Dana 44 Bombshell Diff Cover, and we're pleased to announce that as of today, the Dana 30 Bombshell Diff Cover is now available!
Like the D44 version, the newly redesigned Dana 30 Bombshell differential cover is cast from highly ductile nodular iron—the same material drag racing differential housings are cast from to handle thousands of horsepower. The design of the Bombshell incorporates recesses to protect the diff cover bolt heads from trail damage, while the profile of the Bombshell acts as a ramp to help slide your Jeep up and over the most troublesome pumpkin-eaters. The ramp profile also results in an extremely thick&up to 1" thick—cross-section around the bolt ring, where contact with the rocks is most likely. Throughout the rest of its cross-section the Bombshell™ is the thickest cast differential cover on the market, from 7/16" to a brutal 1/2" thick at the outermost surface.
As of this writing, Dana 30 Bombshells are available in bare steel. Orders placed for powder coated ones will not ship until late next week. These may be purchased directly from Poison Spyder or through any of our authorized dealers.
NOTE: some of you may recall the fitment issue with the Dana 44 covers on JK Rubicons with the stock track bar. While we don't anticipate a repeat of this problem with the Dana 30 version since it is physically smaller, we have not test-fit one on a bone stock Jeep with a D30 yet to verify. We hope to be able to do so some time within the next couple of weeks.

The NEW Dana 30 Bombshells have been test-fit on a bone stock JK front end (non-Rubicon) and are a confirmed fit--no contact with track bar, tie rods, etc. Thanks to Kevin Dahl for providing his Jeep for the test fitting.
