You obviously don't live in a rural area where the deer suicide rate is very high. I use my high beams all the time.

I also have JW Speaker headlights.... so my low beam is more than powerful enough for driving on the roads.

Guess if you live under 'street lights' you dont need high beams. But if you live in deer/elk/bear/skunk/kid running out of the dark/ country, where fortunately street lights are rare, you will use your high beams...

My buddy works at a professional car audio shop. When they install aux lights they only wire em thru the high beams. Never thru a switch. That way people they install em for can flip em on in people's faces without the high beams then its illegal to run highbeams. Kinda a way to cover their butt

I actually drive though a heavily deer infested forest preserve everyday on my way to work. But like I said before, I simply upgraded my headlights so my low beams give me much more light than my stock high beams ever could. Since installing my JW Speaker headlights, I have never had a need to ever use my high beams. That is why I am actually going to just wire my D2 Duallys to my high beam controls.

I just want to know if anyone has done it before and where the easiest place to tap into the high beam control circuit is. I am thinking I can do it right off the back of my headlights, that way I dont even have to run any wires through the firewall.

I didn't read through the whole thread so it might have been talked about. If I got these would I be disappointed and wish I got the d2's?

I have no personal experience with both. But a local Jeeper orginally had the Duallys and recently switched to the D2s and bluntly told me the additional light output is negligible and definatly not worth the additional money. But that is just one opinion.
