Have money, need to buy something. Half doors would be nice. Anything on the price?

As soon as the tax return gets in, half doors will be on order.
I'm happy with all the Rugged Ridge products I've purchase to date.
A couple items came with some missing hardware however that was a 5 minute fix. The products are great.

Now Acme Off-Road are starting to do preorders in the next few weeks. I'm really liking the idea of light weight plastic half doors. With that said, I'd love to know the weight, price and release date for the RR half doors. Given my previous experiences, I'd like to be able to consider RR.

In all fairness, it will be April before the half doors go on up hear in Canada. I'd just like to know what to expect for price and release dates. It would be nice to see RR beat the price of the bestop element doors.

I'm talking about the upper corner separating from the Jeep creating a gap for rain to come in due to the low pressure created on the outside of the door from the wind rushing by.
TX - Texas and interstate I-40. I was referring to the strong cross winds and how low pressure effects even closed full door vehicles. We have worked hard to keep this effect from happening. I just got through writing the installation instructions and can tell you it has to do with proper installation. Will we have complaints??? Honestly yes. Don’t take this the wrong way, and I’m not singling you out but rather some of the new Jeep owners that have come over to the covered wagon world from say a BMW-Benz type convertible world. They will not be happy with anything less but we have tried to offer a good solution.
If you have ever looked at the factory upper half doors from Jeep you will see that they understood this problem as well and designed an upper door that was more of a solid frame door with fabric stretched over it. It worked but if we duplicated this the uppers would cost as much if not more than the lower ½ doors. We needed an affordable solution… Most will be very happy but some will always have complaints…. It’s just the way things are.

Thumbs up

Hey, I understand where our coming from. I love that your actually responding to the post.. And in a timely manor at that. I can wait until late March early April. That comes after the tax rebate and before the warm weather around these parts.

Regarding the soft upper issue. It's comes down to 2 main things:
1. It's a jeep. I'm sure anyone who's driven in a CJ, YJ or TJ will find the product fantastic!
2. It's affordable!

Looking forward to the release!

Went to the dealership parts dept today and asked about the cost of half doors (only for the rear) and the price was laughable...

I will be keeping an eye on this thread and hope to get some rear half doors in the future.

Default Half Doors COMING SOON

So I notice that Northridge and number of other vendors are now listing the half doors in their catalogs (Northridge is saying not until early May).

I guess that means things are starting to come together!!

Any word on what the price is going to be?

I know that I for one, would love to get the soft uppers, an extra set of mirrors and the half doors for my 4 door (I even have the support of the Chief Happiness Officer)!! As long as the entire kit is less than or equal to the Element door set that is available at Quadratec.

Hmmmmm, lots to think about.
