A friend of mine runs a 1" body lift with it. I don't see a 1/4" being to much of a problem.

I have never done it but the only thing that would be different is the hose going from the air box to the motor and the 1.25 body lift does not require that to be changed. You will be good to go. We just got rebate info on these today! $20.00!!!

Can you confirm if the fender has to be cut? I've seen some sites claim no cutting required. Others say minor fender cut required. Will be installed on a 2008 JKU.

Yes, there is some slight trimming of the top if the fender under where the cowl piece goes. Wasn't to bad on my 08.
