If I was to go up to 40s on my tires could this axle handle it?

Tera60's would be better for that size of tires. Several of us here at TeraFlex run 37 or 38's on a Tera44, but anyone here with 40's is on a 60.

TeraFlex can also do a unpowder coated version and custom setup for coil over setups.
