Darn. Was checking back in on these. Need new headlights for my 2012 and was hoping they'd have firmed-up a flicker solution. Guess I'll keep waiting as it seems these are still the best overall solution.

Is the flicker even that bad to spend $100 to fix it?

I was thinking that it wasn't that bad from the videos I have seen. In other words, just buy the pigtail adapters?

Having installed the SMS replacement harness, I can tell you there is a difference, but it is all a matter of personal preference. The flicker that occurred while at idle was minimal and did not affect the operation of the lights in any case. As a matter of fact, you could only tell there was flicker when the lights were reflected off of another car. I never noticed at any other time, and I am pretty sensitive to that.

With that said, I am really happy with the SMS harness, and think it was worth the expense, but YMMV.

Count me in as someone who would buy a set today if there was an integrated solution for the flickering issue on JKs, but I am not spending a dime to end up with flickering that I need to address with another third-party product and then have two vendors blaming the other one when something does not work right.

I have been considering these but after reading through....I may wait out and just buy some silverstars for the time being. I am a bit concerned with the flickering and would like to wait for a fix that I don't have to pay extra for on an universal part OR possibly see TL make these specifically for the wrangler.

Everyone keeps complaining about the flickering. The stock halogen bulbs also flicker. Can it be annoying yes. But it doesn't hurt the light output of the lights. I've seen the new TLs in person and they're amazing.
