did they even use lube? Your getting screwed BIG TIME. Not only could you do the work yourself in your driveway or wherever there are plenty of brake shops around that can do that stuff at a fraction of the cost.

parts: sourced by rockauto.com

pads (all four) $107.78
rotors (rear) 37.79 apiece
caliper $76.79-core charge of $30 brings you to $46.79

total parts. $230.15

I'm sorry I don't see nearly $700 of labor there. See if you can't jerk yer Jeep outta there and take it elsewhere.

BTW there were cheaper pads than that so that price could be lowered as well.

Hope that helps! Good luck!!!

That type of work is really very easy. There is a new write up on doing the brake install.
Probably the only helpful tool would be the caliper compressor, kind of a bolt through a brake pad looking metal plate. As for rotors being torn up.. unless you were running metal on metal they shouldn't be. With the wheel off, just run your finger over the surface of the rotor and you will feel if it is badly grooved or "wavy". And if in doubt the rotor is easy to change and cheap enough.
You really don't need any special tools, just common wrenches etc.

In all my years, I have never seen any reason for a 900 dollar plus brake job. Seen plenty of them, but never a reason. .....I've been at it over 30 years, by the way. You got hosed. Sorry.
